Noccalula Falls - Trailer Trash Tuesday

Can you say SPECTACULAR!

Third grade homeschooling brought allot of fun. Native American was a focal point of study this year. And being Cherokee made it even more special for me. So I searched for places to camp that could capture the history and essence of the Native American culture,  just to add a bit of fun to our Native studies.  Noccalula Falls in Alabama really made this come to life. Alex and I heard several different stories about why Noccalula jumped but in the end...alas...she jumped.

Some cute friends were made at the river...

...and at the farm

Worlds Longest Chicken
Alex couldn't pass this photo moment up.
This is actually two birds.
We laughed about this one for awhile.

It rained the whole trip. But we were able to set up camp, see the waterfall, ride the train, visit the farm, walk the gardens and play miniature golf all in between storms.
P.S. Do not stand too close to Trinity when playing golf. Her follow through is a knock out...just ask Alex.

Tenting It

What do you do when the summer heat runs you inside?
Well Alex and Trinity know exactly what to do.
Alex built this amazing tent and Trinity added the BLING! After all no home is complete without the accessories. Alex built this while I was making lunch, which turned into an impromptu tent picnic. We are still having fun and loving life.

After bellies were full, the mornings running around outside, little eyes started to get droopy. And a warm cozy nap was had.
